Isolation, quarantine, social distancing and community containment: pivotal role for old-style public health measures in the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak.

New coronavirus as a pandemic threatens whole world. This virus as a member of coronavirus family has new and unknown characteristics and no vaccine or treatment agent has been developed for this infectious disease. Regarding the successful experience of public health measures in SARS outbreak controlling and haltering, the infected countries have applied these proceedings widely to control new coronavirus infection. The greatest concern could be that this novel virus behaves epidemiologically like influenza viruses, will challenge all old-fashioned public health actions.
